Anne Binos

My style of art is romantic realism The driving force behind my art is a love of nature and beauty of my surroundings

Anne belonged to the Watercolour Society of South Africa while living in Johannesburg and also helped run the Midrand Art Society. On moving to Cape Town, she joined the South African Society of Artists and her work was given a commendation at an Exhibition at Kirstenbosch. Then, moving to McGregor in 2001, Anne and her husband Jimmy opened a small Art Gallery called Mulberry Studio which they ran until moving to Mill Street in 2017. Together with Des Mitchell, she started the McGregor Art Circle in McGregor and quite a few McGregor Artists have since joined and exhibited, in 2019 and 2020 in Temenos garden, thanks to Billy Kennedy’s kind offer! Barbara Sowter’s McGregor Garden Gallery now offers a permanent space for weekend exhibits. Teachers she studied with: Ms. Lazarus, Cecily Sacks.
